The coastline of Nova Scotia’s peninsula is displayed in this photo taken by astronauts from space. The Bay of Fundy experiences some of the largest tidal fluctuations (16 meters, or 50 feet) in the world. This stirs up much of the red sediment visible in the headwaters in this photo.
