Tropical Storm Bill

Tropical Storm Bill

Tropical Storm Bill made landfall late yesterday morning on the Texas coast and continues to move inland, with potential flooding in parts of Texas, Oklahoma and the Ozarks. This photo was taken by a crew member from the International Space Station as the storm was gaining strength and approaching the middle Texas coastline, looking northeastward from Mexico. The Rio Grande is in the foreground, and Padre Island can be observed to the left. For more astronaut imagery from space, see http://eol.jsc.nasa.gov
